Tonight Brittany and I are going to our first basketball game together. We’re going to see the New Orleans Hornets own up on the Dallas Mavericks. I chose this game because I’m a fan of Mark Cuban. He’s the only team owner who brings energy to the game whether its his blog or his antics on and off the basketball court.
I also bought tickets for this game because I’m trying to get excited about basketball. Kind of hard for me though — I’m such a football fan and other sports (Golf, racing, hockey, tennis, and basketball) really don’t do it for me. But I also wanted to support the Hornets since there’s a possibility that the team could leave the city. However, it’s very unlikely.
As I’m writing this today, I am getting excited to see this game tonight since the Hornets are 36-15 and the Mavericks are 35-18. This will also be the first game for Jason Kidd after the trade yesterday afternoon. This will be a very high scoring and fast paced game. According to stats by Yahoo! Sports, both teams are averaging close to 100 points-per-game.
